My name is Edan Lloyd and I am 45 years old and live in Kibbutz Sde Boker, I have Tourette syndrome.

I was born and raised in a completely normal environment and received full support from the family and the environment, I studied all my life in normal schools.

I have always had a problem with fine motor skills and tremors in my hands from a young age, but Tourette's was only discovered to me at the age of 15, until then we had no idea. The diagnosis was not easy either, I remember we went through a lot of doctors and hospitals until we arrived in Ichilov to the movement disorders unit where they told us it was Tourette syndrome.

At first it was a market and difficult to adapt to. Family and friends accepted it quickly and supported me all the way. Only I always had a problem accepting the syndrome and the fact that I am different from other people, I always used it as an excuse for all my problems and difficulties and did not take responsibility.

It wasn't until about 15 years ago that I accepted Tourette's as a part of me and I came to the conclusion that I have to live with it because it's not going anywhere. Which also allowed me to discover in me mental and psychic powers that help me face all the challenges and difficulties that the Tourette and life present to me. Since I got it my love-hate relationship with the Tourette has improved. The self-hatred I have towards myself also begins to weaken and I begin to love myself more and accept the Tourette as a part of me.

My vision is to raise awareness of Tourette's syndrome in the country so that people with Tourette's syndrome will have an easier time integrating into society and less will be victims of teasing and humiliation.

Part of my vision is also to be an inspiration and to prove that with support and faith it is possible to live a rich and normal life despite Tourette's. I also hope to be an inspiration to people that with faith you can do anything despite the limitations.
